Night vision

You, walking in the night,

and all the shadows in me,

awake to light.

 

You, passing the crossings of life,

step by step clapping through the night.

 

Shy eyes racing their way down,

yet allowing for a glance,

and the shortest imaginable smile,

lit by thousand stars,

sitting on the dark sky

and then just the sound,

of your steps disappearing now,

to hit my ears once again,

with plain pain that doesn’t allow,

me to open the door and say,

I want you.

 

Left alone with the essence of you,

for the rest of the night,

breathless watching the moon,

I love you.
